Arts Society special viewing

SMP Treasurer Carol Hayton writes:

Members of  the Arts Society Horsham were treated to a private viewing of the  shortlisted designs for the Shelley Memorial earlier this week.

The maquettes were transported from the museum where they are currently on display, to the foyer of the  Capitol theatre, the venue for the Society's March lecture.

The Arts Society  Horsham has supported the Shelley Memorial Project with great enthusiasm so we were more than  delighted to provide the members with a special viewing and to collect their votes.

On the return of the models to the museum we were equally delighted to welcome students and teachers from New Barn School who came along to see the designs and to give their feedback.

One young student summed up the designs very nicely when he said, 'They are all nice in their own way. '

We like that kind of positivity!

The exhibition is open until 7th April so there is still time to go along  and take a look if  you haven't already, and, of course, to cast your vote.
