SOUTH DOWNS POETRY FESTIVAL 2023 – A CELEBRATION OF POETRY on NATIONAL POETRY DAY

Plus Open Mic Poetry!

Chichester Library, Tower Street, Chichester, PO19 1QJ

Celebrate National Poetry Day by joining South Downs poets, special guests and friends. Well-known South Downs novelist/TV & Radio producer Simon Brett will introduce. Festival director and Shelley Memorial Project patron Barry Smith will be launching his brand new collection, Reeling and Writhing (Vole Books/Dempsey and Windle), which spins off ideas and themes suggested by Lewis Carroll’s classic Alice books. Live music from Linda Kelsall-Barnett on classical guitar and open mic poetry combine to offer a stimulating mix of words and music. Readers and listeners equally welcome.

Tickets £6 (to include a glass of wine) are available from The Library, 01243 777351.
