Pauline Howley
Pauline’s artwork includes sculptures, short films, drawing and painting. She has exhibited at the Towner Gallery in Eastbourne and, more recently, combines her artwork with poetry, which has been published in the Morning Star . Pauline is the founder of the Horsham poetry group ‘Poetry & Pints’ who meet monthly in the town.

Mark Davies
Mark Davies is a chartered surveyor and TEFL teacher who writes poems, songs and fiction. His song for Phoenix Stroke Club, where he volunteers, featured on Meridian News and is available on Spotify and other platforms. Davies’ 2024 pamphlet Dark and Light is for sale at the shop Natty Noo in Horsham Carfax which promotes local poets and writers.

Ted Gooda
Ted Gooda’s debut poetry pamphlet, Silence & Selvedge, was published by Earthy Little Acorns Press in October 2024. She blends the present day with myths, biblical references, fairy tales, fables and history, while exploring memory, girlhood, motherhood and family. Her poems are written with humour, relatability and a dash of domestic noir.

Caroline Berry
Caroline Berry is a Horsham resident who was awarded the Sussex Cup for her poem Here She Comes in the 2024 Shelley Memorial Project International Poetry Competition. The cup was presented to her at the 2024 Celebration of Poetry event by one of her literary heroes, Louis de Bernières. Her poem appears in the Shelley Memorial Project anthology for 2024, If Winter Comes.

Maggie Weir-Wilson
Maggie began writing local history and poetry after retiring from a full-time career in the Probation Service. Her first local history book was Secret Horsham (2019), swiftly followed by St Leonard’s Forest, West Sussex, A Landscape History (2020) which included one of her poems. Then came Growing Together, Horsham’s Town Allotments which includes more poems and also some botanical paintings. Her next book, Celebrating Horsham, is due for publication in late 2025.
